Ashley L. Akl is a classical and jazz pianist who holds a Bachelor of Music Performance Degree from Long Island University Post. Through the course of her career, Ashley's studies with world-renowned pianists and musicians have led her to perform with noted artists including: Shanghai String Quartet, ETHEL Quartet, The Imani Winds, Lawrence Dutton--violist of the Emerson String Quartet, and Louis Hanzlik--member of the Grammy nominated Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and American Brass Quintet. In addition, Ashley has performed with orchestras including LIYO (Long Island Youth Orchestra), NSSO (North Shore Symphony Orchestra), and was hand selected to perform with the National University Orchestra of Taipei. Ashley also held her position as the LIU Post Orchestra's pianist through the duration of her education. In 2016, Ashley was the winner of the LIU Post Concerto Competition, and performed as a soloist with the LIU Post Orchestra at the Tilles Center. To date, Ashley is a contributor to Nissequogue Village Living Magazine, a lifetime member of two honors societies, and a full-time law student.
